Shanon and Peter, a couple from Canada, celebrated their Destination Wedding at Villa Guia | Portugal Wedding Villa in Cascais. They took advantage of a gloriously mild and bright winter day. Portugal has a moderate climate all year round, and most days are full of sunshine and perfect for natural light wedding photography. Villa Guia | Portugal Wedding Villa is located by the seashore, and the proximity to the sea and the Sintra Mountains creates an incredibly unique light, perfect for wedding photography. We’re used to photographing weddings in the Cascais area and taking advantage of the beautiful Atlantic settings like the rocky cliffs next to this Cascais wedding venue. We love the intimacy it provides and how free couples feel while near the ocean during their romantic portraits.

Shanon and Peter's mini wedding had a ceremony and cocktail outdoors, during which the Lisbon Wedding Photographers' team could capture spontaneous wedding portraits under natural light. The wedding planning team at Villa Guia | Portugal Wedding Villa beautifully designed all wedding moments with plenty of decorative details worth capturing, like the floral decorations in bold hues, that also added sophistication to every photographic scene. As in most weddings, the couple asked us to capture some group portraits, which are always extremely meaningful at the moment and beyond since they usually go over the test of time, becoming family heirlooms.
