As part of our wedding photography studio’s continuous training, we frequently participate in editorial shoots in Portugal or abroad. Wedding editorials are valuable opportunities to practice and improve our photographer’s visual storytelling abilities and people skills. It allows for getting to know the venue’s structures and light specificities and engaging with models and fellow wedding vendors in ways that will be helpful when shooting real couples.
The vision for this editorial took inspiration from the spectacular and unique Sintra’s light and the Byronic character of the palatial mansion, Casa dos Penedos. Sintra is located at the heart of a luxuriant forest and has a unique and distinct light. A sweet, romantic, forest-filtered light oscillates between soft pinks and yellows, which inspired the editorial colour palette.
