      Belem Sunset Engagement

      When Rum and Bobbi first contacted Lisbon Wedding Photographers to plan their engagement session in Portugal, they expressed their wish to have a sunset engagement session in Lisbon. They previously visited Portugal and already knew their way around Lisbon, and they were the ones to suggest the Belém area. Belém is a historical Lisbon neighbourhood with some of the city’s most iconic landmarks with a powerful mix of modern and ancient. One finds monuments dating from the sixteenth century to the twentieth-first century: Torre de Belém, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Centro Cultural de Belém or the recent Maat Museum.

      In this part of town, there are also long promenades by the river and the beautiful Belém dock. We took advantage of the unique Lisbon light and the striking pink hues of the sunset, and its reflection on the river during the engagement photographic session. The passionate couple was quite committed to contributing to the visual storytelling and opted for two different outfits for the session: one relaxed and one sophisticated. We love and encourage all our couples to take time and think about their outfit choices for the photography session. Lovely and well-thought-out garments are a crucial ingredient for obtaining beautiful images. Besides the immediate visual effect, it positively influences the couple's mood, postures, and graciousness. In Rum and Bobbi's session, it genuinely worked great.
